This DVD is packed full of period and archive footage of the Settle & Carlisle and is presented in such a way that it would appeal to the average viewer, as well as the more dedicated railway enthusiast. Much of the footage comes from archive footage taken between 1963 and 1967 with a focus on the steam trains that were famous sights along the route. The video footage also captures the rugged landscape and many of the stations, viaducts, and tunnels along this famous route. Many of the stations that were closed during the 1970s are also featured.
The DVD provides a great insight into the steam days of the Settle and Carlisle railway – definately worth checking out.
